This is the 1st functional prototype with our logo: EONIQ SIGNATURE printed on the sapphire crystal. And we submitted this watch to showcase in the HK creativity pavilion of the Hong Kong Watch and Clock Fair 2022

As we were designing this watch, we wanted the made in Hong Kong mechanical movement to be as skeleton as possible, as a result, we can enjoy the clear view into the moving components of this mechanical movement.

But this also resulted in us not having enough space on the dial to print our logo.

Solution? We print our logo on the crystal.

For the logo print to be durable, and protected from the elements, we need to print it on the inside of the sapphire crystal.

Turns out, printing on sapphire is a lot harder than printing on regular mineral crystal. Turns out, printing on a crystal that is attached onto the watch after the whole assembly process would pose a huge alignment challenge. Turns out, printing at this size would require almost the best pad printing process in its class.

We did it anyways.
