This is a very interesting prototype.

We started this project wanting to create a watch that will last beyond us. Yes, we want this watch to be fully serviceable if EONIQ goes out of business.

So, we chose a partner that adopted the Swiss NIHS system on the designs. The system is based on legacy Swiss ETA designs, and even today, ETA and other Swiss manufacturers from Richmond, LVMH, etc still utilize the same design for key components.

In short, the Caliber 852 can utilize some Swiss made gears as long as it is NIHS compliant.

This P20, has a Swiss-Made ETA escapement (Pallet fork, escape wheel) running in it. This will allow us to compare the performance of our escapement with ETA made counterparts.

We are happy to report that our escapements perform just as well :)
