With this prototype, we learned how to balance clear and quality crystal with true sapphire anti-scratch capability.

A crystal is as anti-scratch as the surface of that crystal. We can either:

• Have an anti-reflective coating on the inside, and thus has the best anti-scratch (the outside of the crystal is pure sapphire), or

• We have an anti-reflective coating on both the inside and outside of the crystal. The crystal is now technically less anti-scratch as the surface is only as hard as the coating.

This prototype has AR (antireflective coating) on both the inside and outside of the crystal. It seems like the value of AR coating significantly increases for a skeleton watch as there are so many details in the watch to be appreciated.

Additionally, we also tested the possibility of adding patterns to the bridges of the movement. It seems like this approach of adding our unique patterns and design is viable.
