This prototype has a special movement holder.

The movement holder is a specially designed component on which we can mount the Cal 852 mechanical movement for our 38.5 version of the Braemar. The component is specifically designed so we can have a consistent skeletonized look, a metal structure and still retain a good enough anti-shock capability.

For such a piece of structural components, in a skeleton design, we have quite a few design choices, and among them, the color and the surface finishing. Our hypothesis was that a black metal movement holder would match our design the most, but for this prototype we decided to take a risk: We went for a stainless steel color (non-plated) and we did circular brush finishing on this component.

The combo turned out to be quite nice, and almost half the team preferred this over the original design. After some debates, we decided to keep the matt-black tone for our launch.
